Our Team

  • Rev. Daniel L. Arter

    Teaching Pastor / Elder

Pastor Daniel and his wife Natalie moved to Philipsburg in 2020 with the intent of starting a Bible-believing and Bible teaching church that would reach the Moshannon Valley area. They had noticed a lack of biblical teaching and understanding in rural areas and through God’s prompting and leading they determined to plant Grace. Daniel has a heart for intentional discipleship and expositional preaching, which informs the methodology behind his preaching and teaching style.

Prior to planting Grace, Daniel served as an assistant pastor and interim pastor at two churches in South Carolina; and he served as a youth pastor and deacon at a church in Central Pennsylvania. Daniel is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He holds a BS in Ministry & Leadership, an MA in Biblical Studies from Bob Jones University; and is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Theology with an emphasis in Apologetics from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

  • Natalie Arter

    Administrative Assistant &
    Biblical Counselor

Natalie heads up all our counseling programs at Grace in conjunction with her husband, Daniel. She has a heart for people to understand the effectiveness of the Bible in their lives. While she does not counsel every person, she does organize and schedule counseling sessions—men with Pastor Daniel, women with herself, and couples with her and her husband. Please feel free to reach out to her if you are in need of counseling. Natalie also handles many of our administrative needs including upkeep of Planning Center and social media, scheduling meetings, and scheduling volunteers for ministry.

Prior to joining us at Grace, she served as a small group leader for college-aged women, worship team member, and children’s ministry worker. She holds a BA in General Studies from North Greenville University and an MA in Biblical Counseling from Bob Jones University; and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Liberty University. Natalie is also a SHRM Certified Professional, which makes her our resident expert in all matters of Human Resources.

  • Rev. Josh Dickson

    Pastor / Elder

Pastor Josh and his wife, Sadie (along with their children) joined us at Grace in 2022 after a long search for a Bible-believing, Gospel-focused church with a Reformed perspective in the Moshannon Valley area. Josh has a passion for implementing technology into our church and determining different ways to maximize our use of technology to best evangelize unbelievers and disciple believers. He also shares in leading and teaching a Bible study in the Grampian community.

Josh is our first Elder to successfully complete our year-long Elder Training Course at Grace. This included significant amounts of reading, writing doctrinal statements, and meeting regularly with our Lead Pastor to not just iron out theological beliefs, but also to develop his understanding of our philosophy of ministry. Josh was ordained on December 31, 2023 for the Gospel ministry and serves as a volunteer Pastor/Elder.

Prior to joining us at Grace, Josh served in churches in Virginia primarily helping with technological implementation, but also in other ministries as needed. He holds a BS in Sport Management from PennWest California (formerly California University of Pennsylvania) and hopes to pursue some seminary education at a later date.
