Who are we?
We are a group of people in Central Pennsylvania that gather weekly to study the Word of God and fellowship with one another in a casual, safe environment.
We aim to be a church that teaches the whole counsel of God and thus worships Jesus authentically, equips believers for the work of the ministry, and makes new disciples of Jesus Christ in the Central Pennsylvania area.
We currently meet in Ramey but we come from different towns around the area including Smithmill, Madera, Morrisdale, and even as far as Glasgow. We have a broad range of age groups and people from every walk of life who have chosen to be part of our group because they desire to learn more about Jesus and the Bible; and are seeking to develop our relationships with Almighty God.
Ultimately, we exist to make mature believers of Jesus Christ throughout Central Pennsylvania and we pray that you would consider joining us as we seek to bring glory to God in our mission.
Location and Service Details
We meet at 411 Main St., Ramey, PA 16671. There is parking directly behind our building and in the grassy lot on the corner of Main St. and Church St. We ask that you kindly reserve the spots closest to the building (including the two directly in front of the building) for those with physical needs that may need help getting into the building. When you arrive, please make yourself at home—grab some coffee and a snack, find a seat, and feel free to chat with those around you.
Our services might be a little different than what you’re used to.
Sundays start at 9am with Discipleship Groups—adults meet in the Fellowship Hall, children K-4th grade meet in the Common Room. Each class is intended to be discussion-focused, apologetics-aware, and age appropriate for the whole family
During Sunday Morning Worship at 10:30am, you can expect any announcements that pertain to the whole group right at the beginning, an opening prayer, congregational singing, Scripture reading, and a 40-45 minute sermon directly from Scripture. Childcare for ages 1-5 is offered during the sermon portion of the service in the Fellowship Hall—please keep children with you until the announcement is made just prior to Scripture Reading for them to go.
Thursdays at 7pm during the months of January through June and September through November, we offer free classes for anyone (regardless of church membership) for the purpose of developing a biblical worldview in our Fellowship Hall. These are hour-long lecture-oriented classes, which might be different than what you’re used to, but they’re intended to instruct in a classroom setting. Check this link for more information. We do offer childcare for elementary aged children (and younger).
Every first Saturday of the month, we offer a free community breakfast and prayer time at 8am in our Fellowship Hall. Come and enjoy fresh food, a brief devotion, and an extended time of group prayer as we pray for our surrounding communities—all are welcome (regardless of church affiliation). Everything lasts about an hour and is open to the whole family.
After every service, you’re more than welcome to stick around, get to know the congregation, and ask questions about the church, Jesus, Christianity, or really anything. We would love to be able to worship with you and serve you in whatever way that we can.
